The op shop is operated and run by hard-working, dedicated volunteers, and proceeds from sales of discounted clothing, toys, bedding, household goods and more support Starick's services. Every dollar of profit from the op shop is used to fund non-core services which address some of the impacts of domestic and family violence on women’s and children’s lives - services such as art therapy, baby massage, self defence training, yoga for trauma and our Lived Experience therapeutic writing program.

I love op shopping. And it's not because I buy a lot of stuff. Typically, I might buy an item, once in five outings.Sometimes I go out looking for something in particular. Li k e a super big rolling pin that I needed to make a couple of mallet heads.And while looking for that I found a spaghetti portion sizer that I turned into a curved chisel.This outlet is good-sized and things are reasonably well laid out. I also like the effort to create attractive and colour-coordinated displays.Staff are friendly and credit cards are accepted. There is usually ample parking. Disabled access us available.

Good Sammy Geraldton Op Shop
The shop closes at 4:30pm on a Saturday I got there at 4:20pm and 2 ladies sitting out the front said there closed and they finished early. They can't do that when a shop closes at a specific time they got to actually close at that specific time not before it doesn't matter even if it's 10 minutes

Rude staff - my son was walking with my mum while I paid at the register and I saw him and put my hand out for him to come with me and as he came toward me a staff member stopped him and very rudely said “all children MUST stay with care givers because of the Cleo incident” to my mother suggesting she wasn’t taking care of him. There would have been less that a few meters in between us.Really presumptuous and rude and while the Cleo incident was terrible it has nothing to do with this store or that woman.Just gross people skills.This is not a family friendly store and I’d go as far to say none of the op shops on this drag are.

Salvos Stores Forrestdale
I used to be all about the Salvos, but not any more. You get everything for FREE and you have VOLUNTEERS yet you still charge shop prices (yes, Kmart prices)This photo is an example. This item was purchased for $4.79 but you're trying to flog it off for $9. It's extortion! You're too concerned about making large profits to fund your 6 figure CEOs rather than helping the community.Keep in mind you get EVERYTHING for FREE.

Salvos Stores Maylands
I visited the Maylands store on Monday and immediately as I entered i was greeted by a lovely volunteer with a great big smile who informed me of that day’s specials. I was able to pick up quite a lot of items off the $2 rack and a few other bargains. I left $48 poorer but had a pleasant experience and will definitely keep coming back. Great customer service given
